1. What are -IR Verbs?
-IR verbs are the second group of regular verbs in French.
Examples:
- finir (to finish)
- choisir (to choose)
- réussir (to succeed)
2. How to conjugate -IR Verbs
Step 1: Remove -ir
Example:
- finir → fin-
Step 2: Add endings

A. Examples:

8. Negation with -IR and Mixed Verbs
Structure:
Je ne + verb + pas
Examples:
- Je ne finis pas
- Je ne vais pas à l’école
- Je ne fais pas mes devoirs

1. Missing “iss”
Incorrect: Nous finons
Correct: Nous finissons
2. Confusing -ER and -IR
Incorrect: Je finise
Correct: Je finis
