1. Greetings in French

Basic Greetings:

| Bonjour | Hello (formal / polite) |

Use Bonjour with teachers, adults, or strangers
Use Salut with friends
2. Saying your Name
Structure:
Je m’appelle + Name
Examples:
- Je m’appelle Alex
- Je m’appelle Maria
Meaning: My name is…
3. Asking someone’s Name
Question:
Comment tu t’appelles ?
Example:
A: Comment tu t’appelles ?
B: Je m’appelle John
Meaning: What is your name?
4. Asking “How are you?”


Question:
Ça va ?
Answers:

Important tips
In French:
- Always say Bonjour first (very important culture!)
